They have provided hope for these children and giving them a brighter future.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you go to the place, you will be able to see the children, the staff and the friendly Nanays.  One Nanay is assigned for every house that takes care of a specific number of children. He had written quite a number of pieces for various causes, institutions and organizations. Among these were those for the 1994 Cebu Palarong Pambansa and the Philippine National Red Cross. He also wrote the thematic jingles for Aboitiz &amp; Co. and Sun*Star newspaper.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In his piece for SOS, as he did for the 1994 National Games that Cebu City hosted, Mel will invite Cebu artists to contribute their talents for the cause of SOS. The non-government organization (NGO) is found in Manila, Iloilo, Davao, Cebu, Lipa, Calbayog and Tacloban.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A part of SOS Kinderdorf International, SOS Children’s Village Cebu was founded on Jan. 9, 1979.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hermann Gmeiner founded SOS in 1949 as the Children’s Village in Austria for World War 2 orphans. He was convinced that help is effective only if a child grows within a family and a home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are now 40,000 children living in 380 villages in 130 countries.
