SOS Childrens' Village Cebu has been taking care of abandoned and orphaned children for some time now. They have provided hope for these children and giving them a brighter future.
If you go to the place, you will be able to see the children, the staff and the friendly Nanays. One Nanay is assigned for every house that takes care of a specific number of children. She will act as a mother for the children under her care.
If you have time, come and visit the institution some time.

Overcoming Adversity - SOS Ayala-Alabang
from the archives of The Freeman:
“Are you nervous?” asked Mr. Bautista.
“No, sir,” replied Harris.
“By the way, what is the name of the orphanage you came from?”
“SOS Children’s Village, sir.”
Yes, Harris is different from other PAL pilots (who are not customarily presented to the company president before taking their first flight) because he demonstrated determination to be where he is now after a life of struggle to free himself from the clutches of mendicancy.
